BRIEF
Medicinsk Museion, in collaboration with Sex og Samfund, aims to create an exhibition about the history of contraception while highlighting the dilemma surrounding contraception from a perspective of gender equality and health.
ABOUT
Passiv is an engaging and enlightening exhibition about contraception throughout history, captured through art, workshops, interactive exhibitions, historical artifacts and digital media.
The struggle for gender equality and sexual liberation truly emerged in the 20th century. In the 1960s, the birth control pill entered the Danish market, granting women greater freedom. Since then, the development of various contraceptive methods has been unequal between genders. Today, women have around 13 alternatives, while men have only 2.
